Elsa Massoc

Ph.D. Candidate

I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at UC Berkeley. My main research interests are in Comparative Political Economy, business and politics, inequalities and the social study of finance. My dissertation explores the role of public actors in shaping different European trajectories of finance after the crisis. In 2018-2019, I will be a Max Weber post-doctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
Before graduate school, I earned a M.A. from Sciences-Po Paris in European Affairs and from Paris IV-Sorbonne in History.

Outside of academia, I am a birder, a fiction writer, and a horse-back rider.
